In the movie, Jem was the one best portrayed an Dill was the person who was least fitting into his character. Jem was the way I imagined in my mind except I thought he'd be a little taller. With Dill, I just imagined him a shorter version of Jem with a different hair color. I never would have thought he'd be looking so nerdy with his unproportional head, how short he was, and how super skinny his body was.
The movie differs from the book because the movie cut out the part where the children went to church with Calpurnia. I liked it better in the book because I wanted to see that part because you met more characters that they actually cut out of the movie. I was disappointed with this movie overall. They cut out when they went to church, when Scout found Dill under her bed, and when the children left the trial and then they came back later in the evening.
My favorite scene from the movie was probably when Scout, Jem, and Dill ran away from Boo Radley's house and Jems' pants caught on the fence. Although, I did imagine the children trying to jump over a fence instead of crawling under it but overall it was a very suspenseful moment. That part is one of the only parts that played out like it was wrote in the book. That whole seen played out like I'd heard in my head so it felt like a deja vu when I saw that part playing on the screen.
